12/07/09 Långholmen - Arkösund – Åpskär (anchorage) – Trosa
We now had decided to progress to Stockholm via the world of the ‘skärgård’ and snaked our way through occasionally very shallow, rocky and narrow passages via Arkösund, a convenient staging post with not a lot to go for to our next beautiful anchorage, Åpskär.
A number of hikers used the shore for a recreational swim and we were left in total peace in the evening. It can get very crowded between the islets and sometimes you are caught between a rock, a boat and a hard place!

Since we do not want to be in Stockholm too early (= end of trip L) we set sails to Trosa, a beautiful little town with a rather exciting snaking and shallow approach. Charted depths in the approach and in the harbour range from 1.7 – 2.5 m (we draw 1.5 m). Fortunately the ground is mud and a little mud bath for the keel seemed not too worrying. We were rewarded with a lovely old town, nice and friendly harbour (mostly stern buoys and posts) with W-LAN access and friendly staff.
