Finally we have managed to get away......

We had just settled down for a quiet drink on the eve of our departure from our winter marina, when we heard a gentle drip-dripping. Not being very alarmed at first, we suddenly realised that our bilge was filling up with water...yet another leak!

Spending another hour or so with the head down the bilge everything was fixed.

We collected our friends, Martin and Amanda from Stockholm and finally set off at 18.00 on the 28th of May late afternoon.
We anchored overnight in a crowded beautiful anchorage Rånöhamn (58º 56',2N 18 10',8E), 3 boats in total, to reach Sandhamn the next day.
We were rewarded for our 39th wedding anniversary with lovely sunny/rainy/blustery weather with about 16kn of wind, i.e. wonderful sailing conditions! Sandhamn (59º 17',3N 18 55',2E) on the edge of the outer skerries, also know as the Swedish Cowes, home to the KSSS Yacht Club, is a beautiful little harbour with typical yellow and red houses and a wonderful forest full of blueberry-bushes.
