Öregrund – the summer has arrived…

Sunset worshippers
Judging by the shorts, sandals, BBQs, ice creams, short sleeves and numerous sun worshippers on the grey-reddish rocks of Öregrund, summer seems to have arrived. The lilacs are out in force everywhere  and the Lily of the Valleys cover the ground in the woods. The smell of flowers is intense and all around us.

So what about sailing: the wind direction  mainly from the SW-W so far has been kind to us and we have had one of the best sailing for a long time. Tomorrow early morning we will be leaving the Stockholm Archipelago and the Sea of Åland and will be entering the Gulf of Bothnia.

The harbours are still empty and mostly frequented by non-Swedish boats – so far.  This might change near Midsummer,
