Getting started...
It is always difficult to begin writing the blog…and this year is no exception.
Nothing much has happened since we arrived a week ago. We are still in Henån at the boat yard. There are always so many mundane things to do like shopping, unpacking, cooking, checking everything over and basically getting used to Easy Rider again. We still have some small and not so small jobs to finish…one is to replace our old (3 years) battered RCC burgee with a shiny new one.
After a week, we feel that we have truly 'moved in' and that we are ready to leave now.

Lets start with very good news: the weather is unseasonably warm around 24ºC, sunny and outright beautiful, water temperature already around 17ºC.
Orust yacht Services are in an idyllic area on Orust island, the largest island in the Gothenburg archipelago. As far as we can see, the repairs and service at this boat yard, previously the Najad factory is very good, probably the best we have had so far in the Baltic. But still, you must double check everything, even the cooling water in the engine...it wouldn't be the first time that it has been forgotten!

Beth arrives tomorrow afternoon from the UK. Our plan is to sail with her into the sunset and anchor in Hjältön near here. She will sail with us to Oslo, some 130 M to the North.
