Seven countries, 24 hours, one passport control

When planning our travel by car to Stockholm (Nynäshamn-Herrö), we were quite worried by the 24hrs of travel ahead of us. This however seemed much more predictable then relying on planes and the punitive over-weight charges.
Just when leaving we decided on the sequence of driving (Madeleine does not like to drive after lunch...)
OK, you do UK, France, Belgium...I'l do the Netherlands, Germany, Denmark and we halve Sweden? And off we went.
We showed our passports once.
Only one 45min ferry crossing from Puttgarden (Fehmarn, Germany) to Rödby (Denmark) and several bridges were required to reach Sweden and our destination after 23.54hrs.
